Bishop Chatard High School recently sponsored a “Parish School - BCHS Gathering.” Pictured here are Saint Matthew Catholic School graduates who currently attend BCHS. Students celebrated Mass with their principal, pastors, DRE, and youth ministers and spent time following the service to chat about their high school days at BCHS. |

The Wellness Center is now open for the Saint Matthew Community from 6 to 8:00 a.m., 6 to 9 p.m. daily and 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Sunday hours are 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. |

Here’s a glimpse at the Saint Matthew Wellness Center. The equipment was provided to Saint Matthew through a federal Carol M. White Physical Education grant. Construction of the building addition was provided by Saint Vincent Children’s Hospital. The project is administered by school physical education teachers Mrs. Sheryl McCann and Mr. Adam Barth. The Fitness Center falls under the direction of Mr. Kevin McNulty. |

Saint Matthew “Super Spellers” took 1st place in the North Deanery Spell Bowl held at Bishop Chatard High School. This annual event is a competition among the nine Catholic schools in northeast Indianapolis. Congratulations, team — 32 of 35 words correctly spelled! |

Archbishop Visits SMS’s Classrooms Saint Matthew School was honored to host Archbishop Daniel Buechlein to various classrooms recently. He spent time answering questions about our Roman Catholic faith and his office as Archbishop. Visiting along with the Archbishop was Office of Catholic Education Superintendent Mrs. Annette (Mickey) Lentz. |

As part of ACES (All Children Exercising Simultaneously) and PFA’s Walk-a-thon fund raiser, Father Paul celebrated our school Mass out-of-doors. |

Students raised over $8,000 for Saint Matthew’s Parent-Faculty Association to help support many SMS programs and projects. Student walked over three miles around the school to earn money pledges. |
