A Kindergarten to 8th Grade School ——- Believe, Achieve, Succeed |
|
As the school year is drawing to a close, I would like to reaffirm Saint Matthew Catholic School’s commitment to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which our students can learn and grow.
During our opening all-school meeting in August, 2007, we went through the usual introductions and important procedures and practices to keep everyone safe and comfortable. |

Although there are a number of do's and don'ts, as in all society, that help us all to get along without unnecessary conflict, laws are too numerous and sometimes too vague for anyone to remember.
There is one law or standard that we can remember. Holy Scripture calls it the “Golden Rule” - treat others as you would like to be treated. One other rule from Holy Scripture is the “Royal Law” - Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all of your mind, and all of your soul, and love your neighbor as yourself." There it is: Love God - Love your Neighbor.
At Saint Matthew Catholic School, this is translated into our motto "Treat People Right, Do the Right Thing.” This is the focus of all our encounters with our students and each other. Martin Erlenbaugh, Principal |
