About Us |
|
Saint Matthew Catholic School (a ministry of Saint Matthew Catholic Church) is dedicated to providing a faith-filled Catholic education that fosters the growth of the whole child. Through developmentally appropriate academics, we facilitate social growth in a safe environment and inspire self-discipline, personal responsibility and a concern for others in the world. Students are supported in meeting our high expectations by a talented, enthusiastic staff of teachers and administrators. We encourage the development of multiple intelligences. We emphasize the “7 R’s” - Religion, Reverence, Respect, Responsibility, Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic. Woven into our programs for Kindergarten to 5th and our Middle School (Grades 6 to 8) is the expectation that our students will cultivate these additional “MegaSkills”: Caring, Effort, Problem Solving, Focus, Self-motivation, Common Sense, Perseverance, Teamwork, Confidence, Responsibility, Initiative, Compassion, and Peace. Saint Matthew Catholic School is a diverse, dynamic Roman Catholic community. Newcomers are welcomed into an environment where people of all ages can grow in faith and friendship. Saint Matthew Catholic School reflects this philosophy. We offer: ¥ Excellent academic programs for K-5 and 6-8 ¥ Catholic religious instruction ¥ Christian values, modeled and taught ¥ A safe and nurturing environment ¥ Many opportunities for parents to be involved. |
